about

Debuting a new body of work in 2024, PM Murphy blurs genre norms in his first self-produced album, "Fall From Winter". The eight selections are a nostalgic blend of cinematic sounds with shades of psychedelic desert rock, downtempo house, lo-fi hiphop, and dub.

"In a few evolutions of my home studio, I wrote, recorded, and mixed these tunes holding artifacts of California earth cycles, pandemic woes, political horror, addiction, heartbreak, and love."

The sound ultimately and intentionally results in a musical vehicle for your inspired journeys, contemplative days, spiritual intuition, and physical radiance.

Liner Notes:

"Fall From Winter" implies a seasonal relationship, yet I encourage you to consider a spiritual angle. One never knows when they will reach the path of peace, and oftentimes it is unexpected and miraculous.

Transformation, the celebration of potential new growth, and a reverence for Winter's lessons are not something we always willingly step into, sometimes we fall.
